AID MONEY GOING TO TERRORISTS?
*footnotes can be found at the bottom of the post
The Biden Administration was caught allegedly trying to fund the pensions of HAMAS terrorists with new aid to the Gaza regime. The proposal, which is currently before Congress, would reportedly give the Palestinian Authority 100 million dollars. [1]
While the Biden Administration claims that the aid money would not fund terrorism, the Palestinian Authority has a long history of using aid money from the U.S. and E.U. to fund terrorism, especially through what is called the Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund (PAMF) [2]
The fund pays the families of “martyrs” who conduct guerrilla operations against Israel. In 2016, the PAMF paid out $303 million in “welfare” to Palestinians arrested by Israeli police, the families of those who conducted politically-motivated violence against Israel, and innocent bystanders who were caught in the crossfire. [2]
side note: the unprecedented terror attack on Israel by Islamic terrorist group HAMAS has revealed a conspiracy to end Israel as we know it. Alan Dershowitz uncovers the covert networks and lays them all bare in a shocking new exposé titled War Against The Jews.
A 2016 Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee hearing confirmed the reports, saying that “since 2003, it has been Palestinian law to reward Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails with a monthly paycheck -- legislation which creates jihad.” [3]
Additionally they concluded that “under this act, the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian Liberation Organization use a so-called ‘martyrs fund’ to pay the families of Palestinian prisoners and suicide bombers. One prominent Palestinian says that these inducements have become ‘sacred in Palestinian politics.’” [3]
But it isn’t just the PAMF that is used to help fund terrorism, the Palestinian Authority also uses aid money to directly fund terror groups. The Jewish Virtual Library notes that “the PA has deliberately sent money (from its EU-aided salary account, among other sources) to individuals and groups involved in terrorism.” [4]
According to the Jewish Virtual Library, this direct funding of terrorism has existed since at least 1999. They cite a White House speech where President Bush stated “Palestinian authorities are encouraging, not opposing, terrorism. This is unacceptable. And the United States will not support the establishment of a Palestinian state until its leaders engage in a sustained fight against the terrorists and dismantle their infrastructure.” [5]
Biden’s deal will make the Palestinian Authority flush with cash if Congress approves it. [6] The Palestinian Authority’s war chest is already $303 million as of 2016. Biden effectively wants to fund 1/3 of their war chest while our ally is at war with the terrorist regime.
This doesn’t make any sense. We have known for more than 20 years that aid money to the Palestinian Authority goes toward terrorism. Now, after a massive terror attack against our ally, Biden wants to… fund more terrorism from a sister group of the organization that committed the terror act? Does this make sense?
Some may note that HAMAS is not the entire makeup of the palestinian lands, and that the Palestinian Authority and HAMAS are separate entities. However, the Palestinian Authority has already offered to pay HAMAS families $2.8 million this year from the PAMF. [7] Additionally, the Palestinian Authority has previously had multiple high-level positions filled by HAMAS members.
Moreover, the Palestinian Authority allegedly runs a huge counterfeiting ring to make millions of dollars off of fake merchandise in cooperation with HAMAS. [4]
Regardless of how you slice it, Biden’s new aid directive, if signed off by Congress, will give antisemitic, Islamic terrorists $100 million in funding wrapped in a big, beautiful bow courtesy of your tax dollars and mine. This is unacceptable.
When terrorists flew two planes into the World Trade Center in 2001, our response was not to fund the terrorists that did it. Instead, we blew their military bases and key infrastructure points to smitherines. And virtually no-one in the news nor in the West condemned us for it.
Now, Israel is attacked by terrorists and responds the same way, and, suddenly, we feel the need to fund their opposition, condemn their response, and demand a ceasefire without HAMAS ceding anything at all. That is, at minimum, hypocritical of our country and insensitive toward Israel in the wake of a horrific terror attack.
There have been reports that Israel has taken over hospitals and killed innocent civilians. Whether true or not, those actions are wrong, and Israel’s military has the discipline and training to avoid doing that. But let’s not kid ourselves here. We did the same thing to Al Qaeda when we were attacked. We shouldn’t yell at Israel for doing exactly what we did in 2001. If it was justified then, it is justifiable now.
